Educational Technology Standard #5:Use technology (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, web tools, digital cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom.
I personally did not like using Tiki-Toki, so I probably wouldn't use it other than for this assignment. It was tedious having to input all the individual dates and information. On the upside, it is very pleasing to the eye, and easy to navigate, after all the information is put in.
Social Studies Standard 3
Students will understand the roles of civic life, politics, and government in the lives of Utah citizens.
Students will be able to tell how the leaders of this state have influenced the growth of Utah. We will go through the timeline during our lesson, and the students will choose one governor to write about. After researching more on their governor, the students will choose a Governor to have a "mock interview" with. We will then present them to the class.
